Passports

Howard County District Court is not authorized to process passports. New applications and renewals can still be done through the US Department of State website.

New Applicants will need:

  • DS-11 application form (available on the U S Department of State website) – https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html
  • Certified state issued birth certificate (or naturalization papers)
  • One passport photo
  • Drivers license or picture id.
  • Payment

Current information on processing time, fees, travel advisories and status of a pending application is available on – https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html

Passport renewals in many instances can be done by the applicant using form DS-82 available on – https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html
